Situated on the east side of San Francisco Bay, it’s home to the University of California, Berkeley. The city is full of diverse dining, from Michelin starred restaurants to mom and pop favorites. Clustered on and near Telegraph Avenue, south of the university, are cafes, shops, and music stores. Houses tend to be from the 1920s onwards with lots of character, and neighborhoods have a real sense of community. College Ave has a multitude of restaurants and chic independent stores.
